VCEA leaders visit Diocese of Sale

We were delighted to welcome James Merlino, Board Chair of the Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) and Professor Elizabeth Labone, VCEA CEO to our DOSCEL offices.

The VCEA plays a vital role in statewide leadership and advocacy for Catholic education.

Bishop of Sale Greg Bennet, DOSCEL Board Chair Garry McLean and Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Sale Paul Velten welcomed Elizabeth and James.

The visit was an opportunity to talk about VCEA’s new strategic plan.

DOSCEL looks forward to working closely with the VCEA to advance the mission of Catholic education in Victoria, in the service of students, families and the broader community.

The Catholic school sector in Victoria educates 215,300 students - or 1 in 5 Victorian students. The sector employs 32,500 teachers and staff across 495 school communities.
