Remote schooling in Term 2

7 April, 2020

To minimise the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL) will move to remote schooling from the beginning of Term 2. This decision has been made in line with recommendations from the Victorian Government. All 44 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Sale will offer remote schooling from Wednesday 15 April.

Families are being asked to keep children at home, unless absolutely necessary to send them to school. School staff are prepared to provide remote learning, and will employ a range of strategies to ensure that students can continue their education.

Onsite learning will only be available to students in the following circumstances:

  • children whose parents who cannot work from home

  • children who are not able to be supervised at home and no other arrangements can be made

  • vulnerable children.

If families need extra support to manage remote schooling, or are experiencing financial hardship, they should contact their school for a confidential discussion.

Let us continue to hold all who may be unwell at this time and all involved in responding to the COVID-19 situation in our thoughts and prayers.
