Trinity Catholic Primary School celebrates new art room and library

Staff and students at Trinity Catholic Primary School in Narre Warren South gathered to celebrate the Blessing and official opening of a new library and art room which has created additional learning and collaborative spaces.

 

Parish Priest, Fr. Michael Willemsen officially Blessed and opened the new facilities. He was joined by Mr Paul Velten - Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Sale, Mrs Kathryn Pepper - Principal, along with staff, students, invited guests, and friends of the school and parish community.

Principal Kathryn Pepper said the new facilities had a significant impact on the school, creating dynamic and nurturing spaces for teaching and learning.

 

“The project involved replacement of an existing demountable with a new building to accommodate a library and teacher resource area, art room, internal toilets and a new outdoor learning area.”

 

Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Sale, Mr Paul Velten, commended the efforts of the project team, school, and parish community.

 

“This project has created an inspiring learning environment and added to the excellent standard of teaching and learning offered at Trinity Catholic Primary School,” Mr Velten said.

 

“The $1.1million project was funded via loan funding from the Catholic Development Fund (CDF) and the school community. We are grateful for this support in bringing these facilities to fruition.”

Trinity Catholic Primary School is one of three Catholic primary schools located in the Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Narre Warren. St Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary College is also located in the Parish.
